Don’t know how to use FTP?
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and is a method for sending files over the Internet. Much like web browsers allow you to access the World Wide Web, FTP clients allow you to download and upload information from FTP sites.

Follow these ten simple steps to upload your file via FTP:

  1. 1) Choose your operating system below and download a free FTP Client.
  2. Windows: FTP Commander - http://www.ftpcommander.com/  or Filezilla - http://filezilla-project.org/
    Mac OS X: Cyberduck – http://cyberduck.ch/
Linux:  Kasablanca  - http://kasablanca.berlios.de/download.html  More info at http://kasablanca.berlios.de/
  3.
  4. 2) Install the client as described in the documentation included in the download. Double click on the downloaded program to initiate install on Windows and Mac.
  5.
  6.
  7. 3) Restart your computer if prompted to.
  8.
  9.
  10. 4) Open the FTP client once it is fully installed.
  11.
  12.
  13. 5) Connect to Elevate Printing’s FTP using the login information sent in your order’s email.
  14.
  15.
  16. 6) Once you are connected, open the /incoming/ folder in the FTP Client.
  17.
  18.
  19. 7) Create a new folder using your order number.
  20.
  21.
  22. 8) Compress your image into a .ZIP folder.
  23.
  24. Windows XP and Newer: Right click on your image – select Send To – Compressed (zipped) Folder.
  25. Older Windows: Download and use 7-Zip. http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
  26. Mac OS X: Ctrl+Click on your image – select Compress “Filename.pdf”.
  27.
  28.
  29. 9) Drag your compressed folder onto the Folder you created on the FTP (“Named your order number”) and it will begin to transfer your file to us. Be patient, this can take some time.
  30.
  31.
  32. 10) You are now finished. Email us at info@elevateprinting.com with any issues or questions.
